Patients should take Imigran (Sumatriptan Succinate) at the first sign of a migraine headache occurring. Take one tablet by mouth. If the pain is still not relieved, you may take another tablet after 2 hours if your physician has recommended this. Never exceed 200mg in a 24 hour period. Some patients, especially those at risk of heart disease may be directed to take their first dose in the presence of a physician.
