One blister of medication should then be punctured, after which the inhaler may be placed into the mouth and the medication inhaled. The exact dosage required varies, depending on whether the patient is using this drug to treat or prevent the flu. If you are treating flu symptoms, you may be directed to take 1 inhalation twice per day, at 12 hour intervals, for up to 5 days. However, patients should always consult their physician before taking this medication so that the correct dosage can be prescribed.
