What is Suminat (Sumatriptan Succinate) used for?

Suminat (Sumatriptan Succinate) is typically prescribed to treat symptoms associated with migraine headaches. Suminat (Sumatriptan Succinate) should be taken at the first sign of a migraine. Your doctor may recommend one tablet to begin with and may increase your dosage based on your response. 200 mg is the maximum daily dosage and should not be exceeded. Tablets should be taken with a full glass of water and may be consumed with or without food. If you experience stomach discomfort, you may want to eat a snack before taking your prescribed dosage.
